Swatch Exploration-4(Visual/Material)

Rococo is so CURVY!!

Curves plays an important role in Rococo, especially 'S' and 'C' curves.

So my exploration is based on the curves. I took 'S' curve motif and simplified it, stylized it, differentiated it and transformed the shape. 

Visual Exploration

These are the visual exploration of the curves from where many ideas came to me such as making the curve in 'U' shape and exploring it with different material.
The first exploration which I did gave the idea of using it seating but the shape was not came out well so I changed the structure of the curve and made a prototype of it.

Material Exploration

But even after making all the above prototypes and explorations, it was not looking perfect so taking the second idea onwards I did one another exploration with papers folded in different curves.

           And to add some flavour to it, I used spray painting and the exploration came out so well.
